Hey everybody! I hope all is well. We received transfer news and thankfully, I'll be staying in David with my comp, Elder Lewis! We are so pumped to continue serving and teaching together.      Last week, Alfonso and Emely got baptized! They are siblings who were references from members! Juan, who is a priest, is preparing to serve a mission, and he helped us out with the baptism!      This week, our little guy Christopher Serrano got baptized! We met him about 2 months ago playing hopscotch in the streets with his cousins. There are about 20 family members living in the same house(none are members)and so far only Christopher has shown interest. He is an  incredibly intelligent kid and has a very bright future. We're hoping that his mom, sisters, and cousins follow his example and accept the Gospel as well. His mom and one of his sisters even came to the baptism! He's a stud.      We had Zone Conference and President came out to David on...

20 Years Of Age & 1 Year As A Missionary

Hey what's up everybody!! It's crazy to believe that today marks one year as a missionary and representative of Jesus Christ. This year has been an adventure and discovery of true joy filled with the most incredible spiritual experiences and  miracles. I am beyond stoked to take on another year rejoicing through the happy moments but also the trialing times as I go about serving the Lord, bringing the restored gospel into the lives of His children.      This week was another amazing one! Here's a recap!     - Elder Lewis and I traveled to Panama City for MLC! It was a very uplifting conference filled with the spirit. President gave a powerful training about applying the Atonement of Jesus Christ in our lives everyday in order to become more effective leaders and missionaries. It was a great time seeing some buddies and just being pumped all week to apply the teachings in the zone. But man I gotta say, that 8 hour bus ride is not getting any easier with my l...

Time Is Flying!

Buenos días cómo estamos?? I hope your week was a good one because it was surely a good one over here in Chiriquí! I'll drop some photos and highlights. -We had exchanges with the APs so it was great to see Elder Medina again haha. His new comp also served here in this area so it was a good time visiting converts and teaching our progressing investigators.  -Speaking of investigators, we have quite a few coming to church and getting super close to having a baptism date but they all seem to have the same challenges and doubts. It would be sweet if you guys could pray for Nadia Quintero, Joseph Murillo, and Emily and Alfonso Castillo so they can accept our mensaje and gain a testimony of the truthfulness of the Restored Gospel. -One day while waiting at a bus stop, a bus passed by and somebody chucked a pencil out the window and hit my comp right in the chest. Oh man I was dying so hard. And then the next day at the same bus stop, my comps umbrella broke while it was pouring rain. Th...

Ate An Iguana

Image
Hey everybody! I hope you're all doing well and had a great week. This week was probably one of the craziest weeks in the mission yet! Here's a recap!     We had transfers and my comp Elder Medina got put into the office so I received a new comp, Elder Lewis. He's from Utah and he's like 6'6. He's a giant hahaha. He's a baller and his birthday is in august as well so we're pumped to be together. He came over from Volcan Friday and the next day we had to go to the bus station at 4am to help the 15 missionaries who are new to the interior unload and find the buses to travel to their areas.     Before transfer day, a family that we are teaching invited my comp and I to eat Iguana that they found and cooked up. Not gonna lie, it wasn't too bad. It was super chewy and tasted like chicken. But Imagining a big colorful Iguana in my head made it harder to enjoy and it didn't help either that we saw one cross the street right after.     On Saturday, Eira ...
