Danielis, Daniel, & David

Image
Hey everybody! Que tal?! I hope you all had a great week and are all doing well! It was another insanely fast week in David, Chiriqui! Here are the highlights.     - Elder Medina and I took a bus early Wednesday morning to a town called Boquete. This place is gorgeous. It's a little town surrounded by mountains and it's actually a bit chilly! It was the first time that I actually felt a little cold in a super long time. It's a wealthy area and a lot of gringos(white people) live there. It reminds me of Park City, Utah which is crazy! Anyways, we went to Boquete to teach a man named Franklin who is the husband of the Young Women's President. We had a couple lessons on the phone but we wanted to meet him in person. We taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ and wow it was an amazing experience and very well worth the trip. The spirit was so strong, and he was tearing up after he accepted our invitation to be baptized. Heck, I even started tearing up.      - On Saturday,...

8 Hour Bus Ride To Chiriqui

Hey everyone, how's it going!? I don't have much time so it'll be a quick one.      I arrived in David, Chiriqui late Wednesday night after an 8 hour bus ride. My new companion is Elder Medina and he is a stud. He is from Honduras and is a recent convert! His testimony is super strong and I have already learned heaps from him.      David is completely different from Chorrera and Colon. Chiriqui is basically a different country haha. The culture and people here are super tranquilo(chill) and it's just beautiful here. The people are a lot more humble and open to learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ here so I'm excited to see the work here progress even more. The field sure is white and ready to harvest.      Keep reading the Book of Mormon and if you're not, open it up! It will bless your life!     Con mucho amor, Elder Felt

Zone Leader

LA IGLASIA DE JESUCRISTO DE LOS SANTOS DE LOS ÚLTIMOS DÍAS MISIÓN PANAMÁ CIUDAD DE PANAMÁ  Dear Brother and Sister Felt:  One of the most important assignments a missionary can receive from a Mission President is to be a Zone Leader. I have recently asked Elder Felt to accept this assignment. This role is one of daily hands-on leadership and weekly instruction. A Zone Leader is an inspiration to his fellow missionaries. He will lead by example, obedience, and Christ-like attributes. I have complete trust and confidence in your son to fulfill the stewardship of this calling. Thank you for sending such a great example to our mission.  Sincerely, Gary B. Garrett President Panama Panama City Mission Cc: President Bird Bishop Stacey

Rain Floods & Transfers

Hola a todos, ¿Cómo estamos?     It was another week full of miracles and blessings here in Colón!     We received transfer news and after 1 transfer in Barriada Kuna, I'll be heading all the way out to the city of David which is in the Province of Chiquiri on the far east side of Panama bordering Costa Rica. My new comp is Elder Medina and I'll be meeting him tomorrow. I'm sad to leave behind the strong relationships that I had with the members and friends but I know that this is the Lord's plan and I'm excited to meet and serve the people of David.     Zone Conference was spiritual and powerful. President and Sister Garrett shared their last words and testimonies as they're getting ready to hand the baton off to the next Mission President and his wife. Crazy stuff is happening! The Conference was centered on cultivating and setting the culture of the Panama Mission- Cultura de Cristo. The APs gave a remarkable training about how to be a more happy and suc...
