Ate An Iguana

Hey everybody! I hope you're all doing well and had a great week. This week was probably one of the craziest weeks in the mission yet! Here's a recap!

We had transfers and my comp Elder Medina got put into the office so I received a new comp, Elder Lewis. He's from Utah and he's like 6'6. He's a giant hahaha. He's a baller and his birthday is in august as well so we're pumped to be together. He came over from Volcan Friday and the next day we had to go to the bus station at 4am to help the 15 missionaries who are new to the interior unload and find the buses to travel to their areas.

Before transfer day, a family that we are teaching invited my comp and I to eat Iguana that they found and cooked up. Not gonna lie, it wasn't too bad. It was super chewy and tasted like chicken. But Imagining a big colorful Iguana in my head made it harder to enjoy and it didn't help either that we saw one cross the street right after.

On Saturday, Eira and William De Gracia got baptized and confirmed a member of the church Sunday! It was a beautiful baptism service filled with many members! Afterwards we celebrated with a Brindis which is a little party with food here in panama.

That's all I got for this week folks! I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity and blessing that I have to be a missionary during this time to help the children of God come unto Christ and bring less active members back into the fold. Remember to humble yourselves before God every day and rely on Him and the atonement of his son Jesus Christ. You will be strengthened and blessed as you do so and as you learn to trust Heavenly Father with all your heart.

Love,

Elder Felt
