8 Hour Bus Ride To Chiriqui

Hey everyone, how's it going!? I don't have much time so it'll be a quick one. 

 

 

I arrived in David, Chiriqui late Wednesday night after an 8 hour bus ride. My new companion is Elder Medina and he is a stud. He is from Honduras and is a recent convert! His testimony is super strong and I have already learned heaps from him. 

 

 

David is completely different from Chorrera and Colon. Chiriqui is basically a different country haha. The culture and people here are super tranquilo(chill) and it's just beautiful here. The people are a lot more humble and open to learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ here so I'm excited to see the work here progress even more. The field sure is white and ready to harvest.

Panamá beat the US in soccer, so everyone was going crazy—partying and drinking. We had a bunch of contacts with hombres borrachos in the streets. You know when a man's drunk when they start speaking to us in English, haha. Merry Christmas From San Blas

Merry Christmas and Happy New year! I hope you are all enjoying this special and joyous time with your loved ones.      This season is by far my favorite time of year especially as a missionary. It's truly amazing being able to help others feel the Christmas spirit and remind them what it is all about- the birth, life, and atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ.      About a week and a half ago, I received a call that I was being transferred. After the most incredible 7 months in David my time came to an end. It was hard to say goodbye to my dear friends but I'm looking forward to having new marvelous experiences in a new place. I will now be serving in the San Blas islands learning a new indigenous language called "Dulegaya."      Before coming out, the new San Blas elders and I spent a couple days preparing by buying food, our sandals, and our hammocks!
