Rain Floods & Transfers
Hola a todos, ¿Cómo estamos?
It was another week full of miracles and blessings here in Colón!
We received transfer news and after 1 transfer in Barriada Kuna, I'll be heading all the way out to the city of David which is in the Province of Chiquiri on the far east side of Panama bordering Costa Rica. My new comp is Elder Medina and I'll be meeting him tomorrow. I'm sad to leave behind the strong relationships that I had with the members and friends but I know that this is the Lord's plan and I'm excited to meet and serve the people of David.
Zone Conference was spiritual and powerful. President and Sister Garrett shared their last words and testimonies as they're getting ready to hand the baton off to the next Mission President and his wife. Crazy stuff is happening! The Conference was centered on cultivating and setting the culture of the Panama Mission- Cultura de Cristo. The APs gave a remarkable training about how to be a more happy and successful Missionary. I'm pumped to be able to apply it in my next area, the rest of my mission, and the rest of my life. It is when we're obedient to God's commandments and the ordinances and covenants of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that we are able to find happiness, peace, joy, and hope in our life. I invite you all to set the culture in your life and have Christ centered in it.
One of the miracles we experienced was this past weekend with our friend Britany! She is super humble and willing to learn more about the Church even though she is only 15 years old. On Saturday we had a lesson about the Gospel of Jesus Christ focusing on faith, baptism, and the proper authority. The next day we picked her up and walked to church! Her little sister even came and they both loved it! Later in the afternoon we passed by their house to read 3 Nephi 11 and the spirit was so strong. We invited her to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized and she said yes! Her words exactly, "sí sería chevere." She will be getting baptized on July 2nd! What an example she is to her sisters and her aunt! I have learnt that the Lord blesses us with his children who are ready as we stay obedient and diligent to His great and marvelous work.
That's all for this week fam! I hope you all have an amazing week
Love,
Elder Felt
