Predicando Con Los Jóvenes

Hey everyone! It's gonna be a short one this week but it's okay because the photos express the joy and amazing experiences I am having in Panamá!



This week we had a few young men come out with us who are preparing to serve full time missions! It's always fun saliendo and predicando con los jóvenes aún en la lluvia!



David was baptized on Saturday and afterwards, to celebrate, we played soccer on the new church court!



Kailey is una sobrina of a recent convert and she is set for baptism on Saturday! 



This is a scripture that has stood a lot out to me lately and it comes from one of my favorite chapters from the Book of Mormon. It was the last thing Hyrum Smith read to his brother Joseph Smith to give him words of comfort before they were martyred at Carthage Jail. 



"And it came to pass that the Lord said unto me: If they have not charity it mattereth not unto thee, thou hast been faithful; wherefore, thy garments shall be made clean. And because thou hast seen thy weakness thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father." Ether 12:37



The Lord always fulfills his promises to the faithful and he will continue to prepare blessings for those who stay strong in the Gospel. Así que sigan firmes siempre!

Panamá beat the US in soccer, so everyone was going crazy—partying and drinking. We had a bunch of contacts with hombres borrachos in the streets. You know when a man's drunk when they start speaking to us in English, haha. Merry Christmas From San Blas

Merry Christmas and Happy New year! I hope you are all enjoying this special and joyous time with your loved ones.      This season is by far my favorite time of year especially as a missionary. It's truly amazing being able to help others feel the Christmas spirit and remind them what it is all about- the birth, life, and atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ.      About a week and a half ago, I received a call that I was being transferred. After the most incredible 7 months in David my time came to an end. It was hard to say goodbye to my dear friends but I'm looking forward to having new marvelous experiences in a new place. I will now be serving in the San Blas islands learning a new indigenous language called "Dulegaya."      Before coming out, the new San Blas elders and I spent a couple days preparing by buying food, our sandals, and our hammocks!
