Vista Alegre

I hope everyone had a Lovely Easter weekend celebrating the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that He is the light and the hope of the world! 



It has been a blast these past 2 weeks in my new area, Vista Alegre. My companion and I whitewashed the area so It has been an interesting, but an eventful experience getting to know the area and people. Elder Berumen is a total stud and I'm excited to work with him. We set some high goals for our area and zone so we're pumped to see the work push forward.



Last week we had a big miracle! We met a lady named "Rosa Cruz'' who lives in our neighborhood. She told us that she is looking for the true church! While teaching her the restoration, she was amazed when we testified of living prophets and apostles. We invited her to watch General Conference and the next day she did! She even sent us a photo of her watching it on her TV! She also admired our invitation to pray about our message to see if it was true. After teaching her the Plan of Salvation a few days later, she told us that she has narrowed all of the religions to just two. It looks like we're in a race against the testigos de Jehova haha. We would appreciate your prayers for Rosa so that she reads the Book of Mormon, prays, and comes to church, so that she can receive her answer from God. She is humble and ready to learn so I have hope that she will enter the waters of baptism soon! I will keep you all updated on the Rosa Cruz miracle!

Panamá beat the US in soccer, so everyone was going crazy—partying and drinking. We had a bunch of contacts with hombres borrachos in the streets. You know when a man's drunk when they start speaking to us in English, haha. Merry Christmas From San Blas

Merry Christmas and Happy New year! I hope you are all enjoying this special and joyous time with your loved ones.      This season is by far my favorite time of year especially as a missionary. It's truly amazing being able to help others feel the Christmas spirit and remind them what it is all about- the birth, life, and atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ.      About a week and a half ago, I received a call that I was being transferred. After the most incredible 7 months in David my time came to an end. It was hard to say goodbye to my dear friends but I'm looking forward to having new marvelous experiences in a new place. I will now be serving in the San Blas islands learning a new indigenous language called "Dulegaya."      Before coming out, the new San Blas elders and I spent a couple days preparing by buying food, our sandals, and our hammocks!
