Miracles On Top Of Miracles
What a week it was in Vista Alegre! The promise land! This ward is awesome. The members are super strong, faithful, and best of all, they love the work. The Lord is certainly providing us with miracles and guidance throughout this adventure.
Milagros from the Sabbath day yesterday!
- We found 2 elect people through members last week and both are on date for the 29th! A little boy named Pakiler Davis and an older lady named Elbira Hartman! Yesterday we confirmed Pakiler's baptism by getting to know his parents and getting their permission!
-And the following lesson, we met a Kuna lady who is the aunt of a faithful member. We taught her the message of the Restoration and then invited her to get baptized this Saturday! She had gone to church previously but the missionaries never taught her because she doesn't speak or understand Spanish. But with the little dulhe gaya that I know, my companion and I were able to teach her. Her nephew and niece also helped us teach her who speaks the dialect fluently. It was probably one of the coolest experiences I have had on the mission and the spirit was super strong. I know she could feel the spirit too despite the language barrier.
After the lesson we helped her to her house and her whole family was asking in dulegaya "how did it go with the missionaries?? What did you learn??" And she goes "Ani bautizarse!(I'm getting baptized!" Nothing has never brought me more happiness than hearing those words and seeing her big smile. She was so happy!
-Solangel got baptized as well! Beautiful family.
I have met some of the most amazing people in these past couple weeks and I'm finding immense joy teaching them the restored gospel. There is nothing better! Elder Berumen and I continue to see the Lord's hand every day as we seek to do His will and preach His gospel.
As a zone and mission we have a huge baptism goal for this month and the Lord swooped down and saved us. Milagros have always occurred and they will always continue to happen according to our faith, diligence, and trust in God's power.
"And if there were miracles wrought then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles and yet be an unchangeable Being? And behold, I say unto you he changeth not; if so he would cease to be God; and he ceaseth not to be God, and is a God of miracle." Mormon 9:19
Nos vemos pronto,
Elder Felt
