Bautismo De Santi

Hey family and friends!

I will be staying another transfer in Irgandi and Ukupa and I am getting a new companion! Elder Roylance is coming over from a different island to be my comp. He's one of my good mission buddies and he's a beast! We are super stoked to go to WORK.

This week Santi was baptized in Ukupa and the only active priest that we have, baptized him! It was awesome. Those 2 young men have a bright future and I hope they decide to go on a mission!

We had a super touching experience with one of our recent coverts, Adelfina. We were teaching her husband the message of the Restoration and we asked Adelfina how she came to know that the Book of Mormon is true. She said that all she needed to do was hold the book in her hand and read a couple of verses, and then she was touched by the Holy Ghost. The Book of Mormon is THAT powerful. She actually explained to us that she felt peace and comfort in her heart but not really knowing what it exactly was.We testified to both her and her husband, Adelcio, that those feelings are the Holy Ghost testifying of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. Not everyone receives an answer at the same time or even in the same way but if we have faith, a sincere heart, and real intention, we can always receive a witness from God. Most of these people cannot even read, so my soul was filled with joy when I was reminded that the power of the Holy Ghost can be felt without reading the book entirely.

I know with all my heart that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that is another testament of Jesus Christ and I know that Joseph Smith translated it by the power of God. “A man would get nearer to God by abiding by its [the Book of Mormon] precepts, than by any other book”

Joseph Smith

Have a great week everyone! Also Happy Birthday to my beautiful mama
