La Familia Martinez

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well! Navidad ya viene! Here's a recap of another insanely fast week

-Cooked dinner with our bishop

-Had MLC at the President's house! They live on the 40th floor of an apartment building that looks out to the ocean

-Our amigo Carlos, who is on date to be baptized Christmas day, was complaining about being too hot with his long hair so my comp gave him a nice fade!

-We went out to Puerto Armuelles which is a super worn down beach town to visit the elders and did exchanges! It was about a 2.5 hour bus ride and we even touched the border of Costa Rica!

-Played fútbol with a few Jóvenes at the chapel there as well

-La familia Martínez finally came to church! They are a less active family of 10(8 came to church) and we had been trying to get them to come for a couple months now. They also have a daughter that just turned 9 years old so we'll start teaching her this week to prepare for her baptism!

Here's a spiritual thought that came from my personal study this week.

"But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil."

Lucas 6:35.

It's important that we find ways to give, help, or serve without hoping for something in return. In the end, we will be rewarded with blessings!
