Iré Y Haré

Hey everyone, Happy Halloween!! Enjoy this holiday with family and friends for me because it's not a thing here in Panamá hahaha. This week we focused on working with members, specifically on recent converts. We saw many miracles! Here is one of those miracles that I would like to share.

 

 

We visited Itzy and Elizabeth Montenegro to hype them up about missionary work. It has been truly amazing to see their spiritual progress and see how much happier they are since their baptism and entering the covenant path!

 

 

We had them share with us the blessings that they have received and seen since having the Restored Gospel in their lives. We then invited them to think about their loved ones who could benefit from these blessings. At that moment, they gave us a few referrals! We shared 1 Nefi 3:7 with them. "And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded..."

 

 

The next day we went over so that we could meet their friends that live close by. Sadly, it started to pour when we got there and panameños hate the rain. But then Itzy and Elizabeth shouted "Iré y haré"(I will go and do it!) It was so funny hahaha. It's now their favorite phrase to say and they say it all the time haha. It's the best.

 

 

Be like Itzy and Elizabeth and share the Gospel with others! Go and Do! You will feel joyous and happy afterwards just like they did.

Panamá beat the US in soccer, so everyone was going crazy—partying and drinking. We had a bunch of contacts with hombres borrachos in the streets. You know when a man's drunk when they start speaking to us in English, haha. Merry Christmas From San Blas

Merry Christmas and Happy New year! I hope you are all enjoying this special and joyous time with your loved ones.      This season is by far my favorite time of year especially as a missionary. It's truly amazing being able to help others feel the Christmas spirit and remind them what it is all about- the birth, life, and atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ.      About a week and a half ago, I received a call that I was being transferred. After the most incredible 7 months in David my time came to an end. It was hard to say goodbye to my dear friends but I'm looking forward to having new marvelous experiences in a new place. I will now be serving in the San Blas islands learning a new indigenous language called "Dulegaya."      Before coming out, the new San Blas elders and I spent a couple days preparing by buying food, our sandals, and our hammocks!
