General Conference Weekend

 It was an amazing week doing the Lord's work and General Conference was the cherry on top. It was a special experience hearing the voice of our Prophet and his apostles. Their words filled my heart and mind with inspiration, revelation, and excitement to keep pressing forward. 

 

 

Cristhofer's older sisters, Paola and Missell were baptized Sunday morning before conference! Their whole family stayed after to watch the morning session with us too! All thanks to Cristhofer's strong desire to follow his Savior Jesus Christ, his family is now following his great example

 

 

Something that stood out to me the most from conference was the powerful words of our prophet Russell M. Nelson. He said "Jesus Christ overcame the world so we can too." He suffered and died for every single one of us! I know that he has felt the same pain, guilt, and sadness that we sometimes feel. But because he overcame it all, we can too. This gives me great hope. He lives. And because he lives, we will all live again. We just need to do our part and exercise faith in Christ by repenting every day. This is the best way to submit to God's will. Submitting to His will and repentance is key to a happy life. 

 

 

Go give out a copy of the Book of Mormon to a friend or family member like Elder Rasband invited us too!

Panamá beat the US in soccer, so everyone was going crazy—partying and drinking. We had a bunch of contacts with hombres borrachos in the streets. You know when a man's drunk when they start speaking to us in English, haha. Merry Christmas From San Blas

Merry Christmas and Happy New year! I hope you are all enjoying this special and joyous time with your loved ones.      This season is by far my favorite time of year especially as a missionary. It's truly amazing being able to help others feel the Christmas spirit and remind them what it is all about- the birth, life, and atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ.      About a week and a half ago, I received a call that I was being transferred. After the most incredible 7 months in David my time came to an end. It was hard to say goodbye to my dear friends but I'm looking forward to having new marvelous experiences in a new place. I will now be serving in the San Blas islands learning a new indigenous language called "Dulegaya."      Before coming out, the new San Blas elders and I spent a couple days preparing by buying food, our sandals, and our hammocks!
