The Work Always Presses Forward

Hola buenos días familia y amigos. ¿Cómo va todo?

 

 

It was a solid week working in the Lord's work; finding, teaching, and even baptizing! Here's what happened this week!

 

 

-Went up to Volcán which is a town in the mountains closer to the border of Costa Rica for a little exchange with the Elders! It's pretty chilly up there! What a blessing it was to escape the panama heat haha

 

 

-Had MLC in Panama City! It was probably my favorite one yet as we talked heavily on goals and our vision for the mission. We had a big council with President about what the Lord wants. 

 

 

-Before hopping on the bus back to David, I ran into the 2 brothers, Abraham & Aaron, who got baptized in my first area!! They're so much taller now! It was such a joyous moment. 

 

 

-Yesterday Itzy got baptized!! Her mom, sister, and niece aren't members and they also came to church before the baptism! Ever since we met them 2 months ago, I have seen the Gospel already make an impact on all of their lives. Nothing brings me greater joy. It's a big testimony builder for me that the Gospel of Jesus Christ truly does bring peace, hope, and eternal happiness.

Panamá beat the US in soccer, so everyone was going crazy—partying and drinking. We had a bunch of contacts with hombres borrachos in the streets. You know when a man's drunk when they start speaking to us in English, haha. Merry Christmas From San Blas

Merry Christmas and Happy New year! I hope you are all enjoying this special and joyous time with your loved ones.      This season is by far my favorite time of year especially as a missionary. It's truly amazing being able to help others feel the Christmas spirit and remind them what it is all about- the birth, life, and atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ.      About a week and a half ago, I received a call that I was being transferred. After the most incredible 7 months in David my time came to an end. It was hard to say goodbye to my dear friends but I'm looking forward to having new marvelous experiences in a new place. I will now be serving in the San Blas islands learning a new indigenous language called "Dulegaya."      Before coming out, the new San Blas elders and I spent a couple days preparing by buying food, our sandals, and our hammocks!
