Panama Jungle

These past 2 weeks were crazy and absolutely flew by! They were certainly filled with many miracles and special experiences. Here's a quick recap! 

 

 

-Exchanges with the Arizona Boys, Elder Tilgman and Elder Allen! They came out with me and they are killer missionaries y echan mucho fuego

 

 

-Trio life again because elder Crandalls comp got bit by a dog as well and had to get sent home for a couple weeks!

 

 

-Went on a hike and visited a waterfall with the district in Boquete. There's nothing better than exploring a jungle in the middle of Panama and teaching the Restored Gospel. Man, the mission truly is the best 2 years!!

 

 

-Manuela got baptized! She is the older sister of Francisco who got baptized about 2 months ago. It was a special and joyous moment for both of them, and I am so grateful and blessed to be apart of it

 

 

Spiritual Thought:

"And I give unto you a commandment that ye shall do these things. And if ye shall always do these things blessed are ye, for ye are built upon my rock" 

This scripture is found in 3 Nephi 18 when Jesus Christ establishes the sacrament among the nephites. We need to do all we can to keep the commandments, stay worthy, and partake of the sacrament every single Sunday so that we can create a firm foundation; A foundation built upon on the Rock of our Savior Jesus Christ— So that when the storms of life come, we stay strong and firm relying on our testimony of the Gospel and atonement of Christ, our Mighty God. We will be blessed and strengthened even more if we do so.

Panamá beat the US in soccer, so everyone was going crazy—partying and drinking. We had a bunch of contacts with hombres borrachos in the streets. You know when a man's drunk when they start speaking to us in English, haha. Merry Christmas From San Blas

Merry Christmas and Happy New year! I hope you are all enjoying this special and joyous time with your loved ones.      This season is by far my favorite time of year especially as a missionary. It's truly amazing being able to help others feel the Christmas spirit and remind them what it is all about- the birth, life, and atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ.      About a week and a half ago, I received a call that I was being transferred. After the most incredible 7 months in David my time came to an end. It was hard to say goodbye to my dear friends but I'm looking forward to having new marvelous experiences in a new place. I will now be serving in the San Blas islands learning a new indigenous language called "Dulegaya."      Before coming out, the new San Blas elders and I spent a couple days preparing by buying food, our sandals, and our hammocks!
