Ramón Ramos
Yoooo what's up to everybody! I hope everyone had a splendid week.
This week will go down as one of the best weeks! Elder Budge and I are having way too much fun out here because this transfer is flying by. At the beginning of the week, we did a service for Alberto and Maria; we raked up a bunch of leaves and cleared up their yard by removing a bunch of roof debris. Then we used a wheelbarrow to dump all the leaves in a big hole down the road. Their 5-year-old grandson, Nathan, was a huge help and came with us on every trip! He just sat in the wheelbarrow on top of the leaves as we ran and pushed him. He was laughing so hard and was having the best time of his life hahaha. Love that kid.
On Wednesday, we went to the city for Zone Conference. It was the best seeing a few of my buddies that came out with me. We heard a lot of good stuff from President and Sister Garrett, and the leaders! It's always exciting applying what we learn from the ones who have experience. After that, we went to Albrook(a huge mall)to eat and I finally found a football! You already know that I had to buy it haha. Now we can teach the Panamanian kids how to play real football.
Elder Budge and I experienced many miracles this week! I'm gonna talk about one of those miracles, the biggest one!
- Ramón Ramos was baptized! We just found out that his name is actually Ramon and not Roman, haha. I don't know why he never told us! Anyways, It was a rewarding and joyous feeling seeing him make the best decision of his life, especially because when we first started teaching him 4 months ago, I couldn't understand a word he was saying! He and his wife pulled up to his baptism on his moped, it was the funniest thing. I love that man so much and I am so thankful for Ramon and his example! Now we gotta start working with his wife who is a strong evangelist and his kids little by little. She doesn't like listening to us but HEY, she came to support her husband make his covenant with Heavenly Father. That's a start! I love the simple words that Ramon expressed after I asked how he feels now. He said ´´Siento bien, siento un cambio en mi vida, siento feliz.´´
Be like Ramon and notice the joyous blessings that we receive that come from the Gospel! This is the coolest thing that we have. Let's live the Gospel every day to receive more blessings and God's promises that he has for us!
I love and miss you all! Feel free to shoot something my way!
