Apostle Of The Lord
Heyyyy what's up everybody! This week was a sweet one, and we saw quite a few miracles. To start off, I gotta point out that Elder Gary E. Stevenson came to our mission to speak to all the missionaries! - By far one of the coolest experiences I have ever had. Every missionary in the mission was there too which was awesome being able to see some of my buddies. Elder Taylor from the seventy was there too because he led over the Central America missions. Honestly, they are super funny and were cracking jokes haha. It was incredible listening to the words of an Apostle of God especially because he was talking specifically to us and how we can make this mission more successful. His words were SO powerful and the spirit was SO strong. It was super cool listening to some of the stories that he shared. One of those stories takes place in New York City in a taxi cab traveling from the Manhattan Temple to the airport. He figured that he had 45 min sitting in a car with a taxi driver so the first thing he thought of was teaching lesson 1: The restoration, which takes about 45 minutes to share. When they arrived at the airport, he bore his testimony that what he had said was true and they were both in tears. Testimonies are so simple, yet so strong! Not only can bearing a testimony strengthen the hope and faith of somebody else but it will also strengthen your own testimony of the church. I challenge you all to bear your testimony! You don't have to be a missionary to help gather Israel. You can help bring souls unto Christ in natural ways.
One of the miracles that Elder Budge and I experienced was yesterday at church. This miracle started a few weeks ago when we were playing a little bit of soccer in the street with a couple kids. One of those boys is named Enrique and we have known him since I arrived here. Another boy named James is a member of the church but they didn't know each other, so we introduced them to each other. A few days later, we were walking and we saw them playing together! We told James that he should bring Enrique to church. Yesterday after the sacrament meeting ended, James and Enrique came running up to us! I was shocked, haha. Miracle. James is a stud. He's only 11 years old and he's inviting people to church. Everyone needs to be like James.
Love you all and I'm grateful for your support. Let me know how you guys are all doing!
