Life Is Good
Heyyyyy fam how's everything going!?
These last 2 weeks have been some good ones. The work here in El Progreso is continuing to progress and just keeps getting better and better. Elder Putt and I have been working, working, working. There's been a ton of challenges but also a lot of highs. We can't succeed without having hardships along the way and that about sums up the last 2 weeks. A ton of good things have happened in the past lately so I'll try to point out a few highlights.
Edilma Sanchez- She is 9 years old and she comes from a less active family(2 older sisters, 1 brother, and her mother) . We have been giving lessons to Eldimas older sisters and her mother too which has been super fun. Edilma is getting baptized on the 29th so this upcoming saturday! They are all stoked for that.
Joshua Valdez- This dude is a stud. He is 26 years old and he is just super chill. He cuts hair outside his house on his porch as a side hustle because he is also a construction worker. We found him last week by asking him if he could give us a haircut and he gladly accepted. We just talked to him while he cut our hair about who we are and what we do. It was honestly a miracle because he has seen missionaries walk the same street in front of his house for 20 years since he was 6 years old but he never knew who they were or what their purpose was. Thankfully, Elder Putt and I followed the spirit to go and talk to him. We have had 2 lessons with him since about families and the Plan of Salvation and he has loved it. He even came to church yesterday!! We are hoping that things keep going well with him.
Roman- Roman is back baby. It had been like a month since we had talked with him, and we finally had 2 lessons with him this past week and he said that he will try to keep the Word of Wisdom. Sadly he didn't come to church yesterday but I think that he definitely has future potential.
Last week I went to the Temple which was the best experience. It made me think about why we are here on the earth and what we have to do. It helped me think more about the eternal goal. We gotta keep on moving forward with faith applying the Gospel in our lives every single day. After the temple, we went to Albrook which is the biggest mall and transportation station in all of Central America. Next time I think I might have to buy a football. A real one haha
This morning we went on a hike with the entire zone which was super sick. I'll upload pics, don't worry.
Anyways, I love you all so much and I am so grateful for you guys. Please keep Roman and Joshua in your prayers that they will gain a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon.
Sigue Adelante con fe,
Elder Felt
