Feliz Año Nuevo!!

Holaaaa mis amigos y familia. How is everyone doing??? I hope you guys had a hecka good time celebrating the new year with friends and fam. The Panameños go crazy over here with fireworks. There were fireworks all night long so I didn't get much sleep but it was nice just chilling and watching the show. IThe entire sky was lit up because all our neighbors were setting them up. It was super loud but so sick. I have no idea how but Elder Putt slept through like all of it.

It was a good week out here in El Progreso. We found 8 new people and we visited a few less active member families. The biggest problem in Panama is that there are a ton of less active members and it's pretty hard trying to bring them back to church especially if it has been 20 years.

We're sure gonna try our best though and help them to have the desire again. Norma was going to get baptized this week but she moved to the city so we sent her over to the Elders that are close to her. We are still working with Roman and trying to help him understand the importance of the Word of Wisdom and that it is a commandment of God. I think that he will come around soon but yea please keep Norma and Roman in your prayers!

I hope you guys all have an amazing start to this new year and that you will all be able to accomplish the goals that you have. There's going to be challenges that will knock you off that path to achieving your goal but remember to rely on your Savior, Jesus Christ, and get back on that path! I'll share a scripture that is powerful for me and helps me especially during the hardships that the mission has. Alma 17:11- "And the Lord said unto them also: Go forth among the Lamanites, thy brethren, and establish my word; yet ye shall be patient in long-suffering and afflictions, that ye may show forth good examples unto them in me, and I will make an instrument of thee in my hands unto the salvation of many souls." Go Forth, trust the process(be patient), and most importantly, put your faith in Christ that he will help you reach what you desire for this upcoming year even through those hard times.

Set your goals! I love you and miss you guys

Take care,
