Aaron And Abraham!!

Heyyy family and friends, how's it going??

This week was a good one! To start the week, I went on exchanges with the District Leader, Elder Wutkee. He's such a cool dude and he knows a ton of Spanish since he took 4 years in highschool and 1 semester in college so I always learn lots from him. We had dinner at a member's house from his ward and they made spaghetti. It was the best spaghetti I have ever had but that's probably because I haven't had spaghetti for about 4 months since before the mission because all we eat here is mountains of rice. Elder Wutkee and I were super happy and excited about it. Little things like this on the mission make the mission experience so much better especially if we are grateful for it. Before I left for the field, one of the things that my sister, Elissa, taught me is the importance of being grateful. She said that as missionaries, we need to be grateful for every little good thing or little miracle that happens on the mission. If we do this then our mission will be so much more successful, meaningful, and happier. So shoutout to my sister and the rest of my siblings for their big examples to me. I wouldn't be who I am today if it weren't for them. I truly have the best brothers and sisters in the world. Count your blessings everyone and you will receive even more blessings! I promise.

On Friday, we had a service project with the District. We went over to the sister's area to clean the walls of the house and the fence to get it ready for when we paint the house. It was super fun. I'll drop some pics down below from it. During this month of Christmas, our goal as a mission is to have 3 hours of service every week and a Noche de Hogar(family home evening) every night with members or our friends. It's gonna be the best month, I can't wait.

Saturday, we had the baptism of the 2 brothers, Aaron and Abhraham! Aaron is 10 years old and Abraham is 8 years old so he was baptized by the ward. The baptism was supposed to start at 3 but it didn't start until 4 haha. It was good though and the boys were so so excited. Afterwards, I asked how they felt and they were both like "BIEN" with the happiest faces haha. They are total studs. Their grandma is from San Blas which are the islands north of Panama. So they all speak the guna language too which is sick. They also do mola art which is a big thing here in Panama that comes from the islands. The grandma said that she would customize my tie into a mola tie so I am super stoked about that. I'll send some pics when she's finished.

My favorite scripture from this week is Alma 37.37. Check it out! As a missionary, I have really grown to know the importance of prayer and how powerful it is. We need to counsel with our Heavenly Father every night in everything that we do. He loves us and he wants us to be happy and successful. So I encourage you all to put your faith in the Lord that we will turn your weaknesses into strengths. And remember, don't forget to express your gratitude!

Nos vemos,

Elder Felt
