Life Is Good Here In The Field

¡Buenas tardes a todos!

I hope everyone is doing well! The mission just keeps getting better and better every day. So many miracles happened this week, and I'm gonna start out by sharing one in particular. As Elder Putt and I were walking home from a street trailer on Thursday night for dinner, we decided to take a shortcut. First, I gotta give some context: A few weeks ago we were walking somewhere and a car pulled up next to us and the couple sitting in the car tells us that they can give us a ride, so that was clutch. While talking in the car, we found out that David(the one driving) is less active and hasn't been to church since he was a kid. He told us where they lived so we could stop by but we forgot the directions, which was a huge bummer. Fast forward to two days ago, while we were taking that shortcut home. We made it into our neighborhood when I had the thought "Man, it would be super cool if somehow David turned onto the street or something." Literally 20 seconds later, David turns onto the street we were walking on, and rolls his window down. He was so happy to see us, and we were so happy to see him. I was so stoked, but at the same time, so shocked, because I couldn't believe what just happened. So now we're going to start sharing messages with him and his girlfriend! I know that if we trust our Heavenly Father no matter what and always have faith in Him, we will receive miracles. We just need to do our absolute best to keep increasing our faith in Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. We must continue to grow our testimonies every day and become more converted in His work. 2 Nephi 26:13 The lord works his miracles according to our faith!

Amazing things that happened this week:

- Found lots of people/had lessons everyday(finally starting to get good practice in with the spanish)

-  Put somebody on a date! His name is Rex and he is 12 years old. It's crazy how prepared he is! He is far more prepared than I was. His mom is less active and is living with her boyfriend, Erick. But Erick wants to be baptized too so we gotta help them get married first.

- Merian was baptized yesterday!! It was absolutely beautiful. She was so happy. We went to DQ for ice cream to celebrate! It was the best day ever. And to top it off, one of our investigators(Celestino) joined the Zoom to Zoom the baptism! He said he enjoyed it and had questions about it so we had a lesson with him and explained the importance of baptism.

This week was really good, and I am counting on having another good week despite the challenges we will face. I'm ready to tackle those challenges because I know that as long as I keep my focus on the work, putting all my trust and faith in the Lord, everything will work out and good things will happen. Remember that!! I hope you guys are doing well! Thank you for all your support and feel free to message me about what's going on in your life! I love hearing from you guys.

Con mucho amor,

Elder Felt
